This is a grass roots movement and no one gets paid to run this Town Hall Meeting website. We have created this site because we know there are a lot of people who have a disagreement or two with their politicians but have no way of being heard. Obama and his team of Democrats have used the town hall meeting venue as a way to build up their causes such as Obamacare and other related policies. The claim has been made that the meetings are nothing more then what has been dubbed “astroturfing”. Astroturfing is the manufacturing through paid staff of what appears to be a grass roots movement but what is really only paid staffers. An example of Astroturfing is the ACORN organizations paid staff calling and soliciting elderly and other sleezy tactics to vote for their candidate. These paid staffers are not volunteers with a passionate desire to get their candidate into office but are what are now known as “Astroturfers”.
